Privacy Policy

Reclaimt ("we," "us") built this policy to say plainly what we collect, why, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, contact us and we'll explain.

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely, never in plain text). When you upload invoices for analysis, we collect whatever's in those files — vendor names, addresses, amounts, and tax charged. That's the data our sales tax scan actually needs to work.

How we use it

We use your invoice data for exactly one purpose: running the sales tax analysis you asked for, and showing you the results in your dashboard. We don't use your invoices to build profiles for advertising, and we don't sell your data to anyone.

Who we share it with

We share the smallest amount of information necessary with a few outside services that make Reclaimt work:

• Google Geocoding API — to determine the exact local tax jurisdiction for an address on your invoice, we may send that address to Google's geocoding service.
• Google reCAPTCHA — used on our signup form to block automated bot signups. This doesn't see your invoice data.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — our infrastructure provider. Your account data and uploaded invoices are stored on AWS servers.

We don't share your data with anyone else unless we're legally required to, or unless you specifically ask us to (for example, if you request that we share a report with your accountant).

How we protect it

We use industry-standard security practices — encrypted connections, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable, ongoing steps to protect what you share with us.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and invoice data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we'll delete your data within a reasonable time, except where we're required to keep records for legal or accounting reasons.

Your choices

You can access, update, or request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. If you delete your account, your uploaded invoices and analysis results are removed along with it.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep you logged in and to support reCAPTCHA's bot protection. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

Reclaimt is a business tool. It's not directed at, and we don't knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know directly.
